Kareem Davy, professionally known as KRM DVY, is a talented, self-taught artist from the Caribbean. Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, KRM inherited his artistic abilities from his mother, who is also an artist and who comes from a family that possesses exceptional artistic skills.
Although he had a natural talent for art early on, it lay dormant for many years, and initially, he created and managed events for a living. However, the Covid-19 pandemic caused the entertainment industry to shut down, resulting in more free time for him, and he found himself gravitating to what was always within, in the form of drawing.
Amongst everything he drew, his childhood doodles were what caught the attention of some of his closest friends and family, and they encouraged him to do even more with them. As a result, he dedicated more time to his art, and naturally the love for creating these characters grew. They were called Peepers by his mother and then renamed PEEPS by him. A name with a two-fold definition; the characters’ peeping demeanor, and a slang abbreviation for a select group of people that's made up of close friends and family.

KRM’s artwork is mostly a mix of vibrant colors and imaginative characters. His PEEPS are quirky, whimsical, and are constantly evolving. His work is a reflection of his vibe, rooted in authenticity and love. The joy he receives from creating is mainly why he does it, and people experiencing that joy when they view and purchase his work is a plus. His unique style has garnered attention from art enthusiasts and collectors, both locally and internationally and his goal is to continue learning and growing as an artist, for as long as he sees fit.
